The buying brief

Build the decision around the bar and supports.

HPYGN’s selected pull-up assistance system combines an adjustable upper strap, three covered elastic bands and two separate foot supports. It changes the support available during a pull-up. Before comparing band counts, establish that you have a suitable bar and can enter and leave the arrangement as instructed.

The practical differences
Part of the decision Selected assistance system What you must check
Upper attachment Adjustable strap with buckle Bar compatibility, mounting and strap installation
Elastic components Three covered bands Permitted arrangement and condition of each band
Contact with the user Separate foot supports Foot placement, setup height and controlled entry/exit
Resistance direction Helps support part of your weight More assistance can make the pull-up easier
Equipment outside the kit Pull-up bar required A suitable bar with its own installation requirements

You have a securely installed pull-up bar

Check whether the strap and supported attachment method fit that bar. Pay attention to clearance above and below you, not just whether the strap can wrap around the bar. Read both sets of instructions together.

You are comparing assistance with ordinary exercise bands

The direction of help is different. A tube kit resists a row or press; assistance supports part of your body weight during a pull-up. A band total cannot be used as a direct comparison of these two jobs or as a user-weight limit.

Make entry and exit part of the purchase decision

The foot supports, buckle and upper connection are central features, not minor accessories. Review their positions in the gallery before ordering. If you cannot use the instructed entry and exit arrangement confidently, seek qualified instruction or choose a different setup. Do not improvise with furniture, an unverified ceiling fitting or a bar whose mounting is uncertain.

Before you decide

Questions about pull up assistance.

Does the kit include a pull-up bar?

The selected system requires a separate suitable, securely installed pull-up bar. The assistance parts do not establish the strength of the bar or its mounting.

Does adding assistance make the movement harder?

The system helps support part of your weight. More assistance can make the upward movement easier, unlike adding resistance to an ordinary band exercise.

Are the foot supports one continuous loop?

This selected orange system uses two separate foot supports. Examine the photographs and the supplied instructions for their arrangement.

Can I calculate support by subtracting a band label from my weight?

No. Elastic assistance changes with stretch and setup. A printed band rating is not a constant amount to subtract from body weight.

Can the strap fit every doorway bar?

Do not assume universal compatibility. Check the bar design, mounting, attachment method and available clearance against both products’ instructions.

How can I compare sessions?

Record the band arrangement and upper strap setting so the setup is repeatable. Changing the setup changes the assistance even before you change repetitions.
